The year of '65-'72

The year of '65-'72 joined FCS amidst the glamour of the swinging sixties. Those who went right through to the Upper 6th were destined to leave after the demise of Finchley County as a separate entity. Many of us have kept in touch, largely through the efforts of Brian Andrews who, together with others, managed to arrange a number of reunions over the years - plus, of course, the whole school reunions. Probably in excess of 50% of the 1965 intake have remained in contact to a greater or lesser extent. Amazingly (at the time of this update, in 2022) we are only 3 years away from the 60th anniversary of that day in September 1965 when we all met for the first time in 1E and 1H. "Not possible" I hear you say, "we're far too young". Try telling our hips/knees/backs/eyes that! (Please delete as appropriate).

We all look pretty much the same, don't we?

Update - November 2022

Here we are at the September 2022 reunion. The class of '65 - '72, all aged more than 65 but less than 72!

2022 Reunion

Apologies from your webmaster - I was there but I had to leave before the photo was taken.

If you are from our year and haven't been in touch recently, please contact Philip Sage (see the contact tab) in order that we may update our records. If your contact details have changed, whether postal address, phone number or email address, please do let us know. Of course, there's no obligation to attend any future reunions but at least we will be able to let you know when they are taking place. The same applies to any ex-pupils or staff from any era. If you do not receive Scimitar and are not on our radar we would love to hear from you.
